Three from Gujrat held for Pakistan-linked cyber slavery racket
Gandhinagar: Cybercrime enslavement in Myanmar was the trap, and a lucrative job abroad was the lure. A human trafficking ring was exposed by Gujarat CID crime, and three local agents were detained for allegedly arranging the transportation of 41 job seekers and transferring them to Chinese and Pakistani handlers. Investigators were informed by victims that they were coerced into participating in phishing and cryptocurrency frauds. The arrests resulted from their escape, which was facilitated by the Indian embassy.
Three people have been taken into custody: Shaileshbhai Dabhi from Anand and Sonal and Sanjay Faddu from Junagadh. According to the officers, the three collaborated with a larger network of international agents and two Pakistani handlers to transport victims between nations.
The three recruited young people by providing data entry employment in Myanmar, Dubai, Vietnam, and Malaysia, according to an officer on Saturday. They worked with a network of Pakistani sub-agents. After the victims' airline tickets were arranged, they were given to Miaz Ali and Tanvir, two Pakistani agents. Forty-one individuals from Gujarat were trafficked: five were taken to Myanmar, fifteen to Dubai and Vietnam, and six to Malaysia.
Chinese agents confiscated the youths' paperwork, phones, and passports as soon as they arrived at their respective airports. Those deported to Myanmar were transported across the Moei River to Myawaddy Township's KK Park, where they were detained.
According to CID officials, the victims were coerced into phishing, cryptocurrency fraud, Ponzi schemes, and online dating scams in addition to experiencing physical and psychological abuse. Those who rebelled faced months of imprisonment and beatings.
According to the authorities, the network made substantial gains by taking advantage of trafficked Indians and collaborated closely with Chinese cybercrime syndicates. The racket was only discovered and the arrests were made after a number of victims were able to flee Myanmar with assistance from the Indian embassy.
