Bank KYC Update: Cybercriminal Jeetu Ravidas claims to defraud people by posing as an Axis Bank employee in order to update the bank's KYC. Twice, he defrauded UP's Munnu Singh of Rs 50,000 each. A person from Bihar was defrauded of Rs 38,000 by him. According to DSP, a complaint has been made against three of the five SIM cards that were discovered with Jeetu on the NCRB portal.

Bank KYC Update: On Wednesday, Jeetu Ravidas, a resident of Panchmahi Bardangal in the Kumardhubi OP area, was detained by the Dhanbad-Dhanbad Cyber Police Station for deceiving in the name of KYC.  Three of his mobile phones and five SIM cards have been confiscated by the police.  Investigations revealed that he had engaged in numerous instances of cyber fraud.  On Thursday, Cyber DSP Sanjeev Kumar provided this information in his office.  He said that three victims who have been defrauded have been reported to the police.  Many more details will be discovered after more research.  He was taken to jail by the police.  The raiding crew included Inspector Ranjit Kumar, ASI Mary Prafullit Lakra, and Vishnu Kumar Goswami, among others.

On the NCRB portal, a complaint has been made regarding the recovered number.

 According to the DSP, three of the five SIM cards that were discovered with Jeetu have complaints against them on the NCRB webpage.  The Pratibimb app indicated that Kumardhubi was using the same SIM card.  As a result, a raid was carried out, and Jeetu was apprehended for cybercrime.  During questioning, he admitted to defrauding people by pretending to be an Axis Bank employee in order to update KYC.  Twice, he defrauded UP's Munnu Singh of Rs 50,000 each.  A person from Bihar was defrauded of Rs 38,000 by him.

 According to DSP, after questioning, it was discovered that Jeetu had previously received SIM cards from Akash Ravidas, who lives nearby.  Jeetu purchased five SIM cards from Akash for 6,000 rupees a few months back and used them to defraud people.  Akash has been offering SIM cards for cheating even before this.  Akash is being sought by the police.  Information about who purchased the SIM and where it was purchased is being gathered by the police.
