  1. Dial 181 (24×7, toll-free).

  2. The call is received at the Women Helpline control room.

  3. You will be asked:

    • Name (can request confidentiality)

    • Contact number

    • Location/address

    • Nature of complaint

  4. The complaint is registered digitally.

  5. Depending on urgency:

    • Counseling support is provided.

    • Police intervention is arranged.

    • Referral to shelter home (One Stop Centre) is made.

  6. Follow-up calls are made until the issue is resolved.
