New method of cyber crime: Call conference merging scam
The Call Conference Merging Scam involves fraudsters merging a victim's call with an impersonated third party, often posing as a legitimate organization. The scammer gains sensitive information, such as bank details, leading to financial theft. Victims are tricked by the illusion of a legitimate conference call, making detection difficult.
If you receive a call from an unknown person and he identifies himself as a known person and asks you to merge the call, be especially cautious. This is a new model of cyber thugs that has emerged.
In which the bank account can be emptied immediately after call merging. For a long time now, cyber fraud cases have increased due to OTP being obtained through call conference merging technique instead of message OTP scam.
Most of the time OTP is received through SMS; however, this fraud can also be committed through a call. Cyber fraudsters also keep information about people around you, your relatives; so that fraud can be done easily by using the identity of known people.
How does Call Conference Scam happen?
A cyber criminal will call you and tell you that someone you know is also joining the call; giving reasons like phone is lost or damaged, a call will come from a new number at the same time; as soon as you merge the call, the OTP goes to that number. It is called an OTP call. Cyber hackers first open your Bank account, as soon as they get the OTP, they immediately withdraw money from your account. This cyber crime is on the rise now.
How to avoid conference call scams
Do not receive calls from any unknown person. Even if the cyber criminal tells you the name of a known person, do not fall into his trap. Cut the call. If you yourself have been trapped in cyber crime, inform the police immediately. Otherwise inform the cyber crime helpline number 1930.

जादातर समय SMS से हि ओटिपी आता है; परंतु ईस फ्रोड मे कोल करके भी फ्रोड किया जा सकता है। सायबर ठगी आपके आसपास के लोग, आपके रीस्तेदार को जानकारी भी अपने पास रकते है; जिससे परिचित लोंगो कि पहचान बताके आसानीसे फ्रोड किय जा सके।
किस प्रकार कोल कोंन्फरंस स्केम होता है ?
सायबर क्रिमिनल आपको एक कोल करेगा और बताऐगा कि आपके परिचित व्यक्ति भी कोल पर जुड रहा है; फोन गुम होगया है नहितो खराब हो गया ईस तरह के कारण बताके नये नंबर से उसी समय कोल आऐगा; जैसे हि कोल को आपने मर्ज कर लिया तो ओटिपी उस नंबर पर चला जाता है। उसे ओटिपी कोल कहते है। सायबर हैकर्स पहले हि आपके बैंक अकाउंट को खोल के रकते है, जैसे हि ओटिपी पता चल गया वैसे तुरंत आपके अकाउंट से पैसे निकाल लेते है। यह सायबर क्राईम अभी जादा चल रहा है।
कोल कोंन्फरंस स्केम से बचाव कैसे करे - कोई भी अंजान व्यक्ति का कोल रिसिव ना करे।
सायबर क्रिमिनल भले हि परिचित व्यक्ति का नाम बताऐ तो भी उसके जाल मे नआ फसे। कोल कट कर दे।
आप खुद सायबर क्राइम मे फस गये हो तो तुरंत पुलिस को सुचित करो। नहितो सायबर क्राईम हेल्पलाइन नंबर 1930 पर सुचित करे।
