Big decision of the Central Government: preparation to make international calls expensive to stop cyber fraud?

New Delhi: Due to strict restrictions on spam calls coming from Indian numbers in the country, cyber fraudsters are easily cheating Indian citizens by calling from other countries.

Telecom companies say that this is because the call sent to India through foreign telecom networks is very cheap. Telecom companies have requested the government to increase the International Termination Charge (ITC).

Telecom companies say that due to low ITC rates in India, cyber fraudsters sitting abroad can easily send spam calls to India. Cyber ​​fraud and phishing attacks have increased.

What is the International Termination Charge?

When a foreign company sends coal to India, it has to pay a charge to the companies of that country. International Termination (ITC) is very low in India. It is maximum 65 paise per unit. This charge is very high in many countries.

टेलिकोमकंपनी का कहना है कि, इसका कारन विदेशी टेलिकॉम नेटवर्क के जरीऐ भारत में भेजी जाने वाली कोल बहोत सस्ती है. टेलिकॉम कंपनीओने सरकार से इंटरनेशनल टर्मिनेशन चार्ज (आइटीसी) बढाने का अनुरोध किया है. 
टेलिकोम कंपनी का कहना है कि भारत मे कम आइटीसी दरो के कारन सायबर ठग विदेश मे बैठकर आसानी से भारत देश मे स्पैम कोल के जरीऐ सायबर ठगी और फिशिंग हमलो मे तेजी आई है.

जब कोई विदेशी कंपनी भारत मे कोल भेजती है , तो उसे उस देश के कंपनीओंको चार्ज देना पडताംहै. भारतमे इंटरनेशनल टर्मिनेशन (आइटीसी) बहोत कम है. यह अधिकतम 65 पैसे प्रती युनिट है. बहोत सारे देशो मे यह चार्ज बहोत जादा है.
