New Delhi: The Central District Police has arrested 10 accused in the last five days in a major drive against the spread of objectionable online content related to child sexual exploitation. During this time, 10 FIRs have been registered in different stations of the district. Mobile phones and other digital devices have been seized from the possession of the accused, which have been sent for forensic examination. Central district DCP Rohit Rajbir Singh said that this special campaign was launched under the zero tolerance policy against those who download, upload, store and disseminate objectionable digital content related to child sexual exploitation through social media and other online media.

The investigation was initiated based on input from the International Cyber ​​Tip Line and extensive analysis of digital activities. After the technical investigation confirmed the online transmission of banned content, the police registered cases in various police stations and took action at several places simultaneously.

A total of 10 FIRs have been registered under relevant sections of POCSO Act and IT Act in various police stations including Estate, Paharganj, Jama Masjid, Kamala Market, Patel Nagar and Chandni Mahal.
