Pune IT Firm Hit by ₹82-Crore Data Theft, Four Employees Booked
Four employees of an IT company situated in Hinjewadi have been charged by the Pimpri Chinchwad cyber police with stealing private data and inflicting losses of about 82 crore. It is estimated that the scam occurred between April 2024 and August 2025.

Police officials claim that one woman was among the accused who stole the company's software solutions and source codes. After establishing their own company, they unlawfully made money by using the stolen content to create over 100 websites.
On Wednesday, a representative of the impacted IT company filed a complaint in the case. The business has stated that it suffered significant financial losses as a direct result of the theft and misuse of its intellectual property.
In accordance with the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita's sections 316 (criminal breach of trust) and 318 (cheating), as well as the Information Technology Act, police have filed a case in response to the complaint.
